Herb Cranberry Sauce

Herb Cranberry Sauce

Yep, it's Thanksgiving again! Let me say this - plain cranberry sauce is boring as hell... Glad we got this out of chest

Here at dip dip foods, we like to look at traditional ways. Differently, we tried a couple of ways, from making it into a gel to using different sugars

What we found and loved the most was adding infused extracts. One that everyone we believe will be familiar with is herb oil with sharing with friends and our scientists friend they loved it that's why we are serving this for our thanksgiving party this year

Italian Herbs Oil

Ingredients

1lb of Frozen or Fresh Cranberries
1/4 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of Italian Herbs Oil

Utensils

Small Pot, Spatula, blender (or hand blender)

Instructions

All you need to do is grab a bag (1lb) of cranberries, drop them all in a pot and add some water enough all the cranberries are covered in water. Bring the pot to a boil and cook until the cranberries are soft which should take about 8 to 12 minutes. Then, puree the water and cranberries in a blender (we recommend Vitamix blenders, our favorite!) or you can use a hand blender (for these we recommend the All-Clad Immersion Hand Blender which we use as well) and blend until the puree is completely smooth. Season to taste with salt and sugar then add 2 tablespoons of our Italian Herbs Oil to finish it off.

I understand some people will go to the store and buy herb oil on the shelf. I promise you it won't be as good as ours, and I'm sure you're saying, "That's what everyone is going to say!" The reason why I am saying this as with over 15 years of experience as a Chef, our product isn't made to stay on a shelf in a store. We started making our infused oils due to our inability to find restaurant-quality infused oils at the store. Our oils are made exactly the way a chef would in a Michelin-star restaurant and is always kept refrigerated. From our research and experience infused oils must be kept in a refrigerator to preserve freshness, so if you're thinking about picking up a bottle from the store, we very highly recommend trying out one of our bottles of Italian Herbs Oil!
